Why uPVC?

In Europe, almost 80% of all windows are made from uPVC.
Find out why.

WARMER

uPVC windows are ideal for helping keep your house warmer in winter and cooler in summer.

Combining uPVC’s natural insulating properties with double-glazed windows achieves thermal insulation levels that far exceed even thermally broken aluminium – and at a very competitive price.

Our aluplast uPVC doors also offer these same thermal benefits.

QUIETER

In addition to being an effective thermal insulator, our aluplast uPVC frames are also an extremely effective barrier to noise.

When combined with double-glazing, overseas testing has measured sound reductions of up to 38dB!

So your home will not only be warmer in winter and cooler in summer, but quieter too.

SECURE

For a safer, more secure home, our aluplast uPVC windows and doors employ a multi-point locking mechanism. The lock engages at multiple points along the frame, rather than a single point as traditional windows and doors do.

The uPVC frame is steel reinforced too, and the double-glazed windows can be laminated, making them extremely difficult to break.

DURABLE

Our uPVC profiles are built to withstand 40 years or more in New Zealand conditions. UV does not affect the uPVC.

The frames are very low maintenance – uPVC won’t rot, rust or corrode, does not require painting, and can simply be cleaned using soapy water. It is only the hinges and other moving parts where occasional maintenance is recommended.

Unlike aluminium and timber, uPVC cannot be deformed by moisture or changes in temperature.

ECO-FRIENDLY

Being such an effective thermal insulator, aluplast uPVC windows and doors make your home more energy-efficient.

uPVC is also recycled in Europe. Our German supplier aluplast utilises recycled uPVC for internal components of their joinery.

With the market rapidly growing in New Zealand and Australia, in time we expect to see uPVC being recycled locally.
