Awning Windows

uPVC Windows

Awning windows are one of the most common types of windows in New Zealand and can often be found in a variety of rooms. Our most popular style is versatile and can be used in a number of situations.

Awning windows are hinged at the top of the frame and open outwards. We use friction hinges on our uPVC product, which ensures that the window stays open at the specific angle you push them to and doesn’t fall down on release. The windows open fully with a gentle push.

Our awning windows open to approximately 70 degrees. However, it is also possible to lock the frame at a 10mm gap (or 100mm with optional restrictor stays) to keep the window open while the occupants of the home remain safe and secure.

When they are closed, the uPVC awning windows are 100% airtight because of a double rubber seal and are also very secure. Each of our window frames comes with a multi-point locking system, with at least two points of locking on each unit. The number of points depends on the size of the window ordered.

With their strong safety features, but classic and very versatile design, it’s no surprise that the awning windows are one of our most popular products. Get in touch with us to find out more.
